Boating

Today we found  Peter Mistletoe doing a little boating. The bowl of water was place under the Christmas tree, so he had a nice view while relaxing in his boat! Next time find a bigger body of water, Peter!

More Holiday Treats

We found Peter Mistletoe getting into some holiday treats made for us by a friend! Save some for us, Peter!!

Thief?

We found Peter Mistletoe in our spare change jar! I hope he was just checking it out and not trying to steal our vacation fund!

Deck the Halls

We've had the Christmas tree for five days now but have not started decorating it. But tonight Peter Mistletoe got it started for us!

An Invitation

Peter Mistletoe invited us to a Christmas family movie night. Apparently, he recommends Frosty.

Sticker Attack

Peter Mistletoe got into some stickers and stuck them all over the bookcase and himself. He had a scary crab on stuck on his neck that looked kind of threatening. I'll bet he was wishing for some Christmas stickers.

Checkers, Anyone?

Peter Mistletoe was found playing a game of checkers with Jordan’s bear, Poufy. It was so cute—they either didn’t know how to play or were making up their own rules.

Peter and the Beanstalk

Peter Mistletoe had to scramble to get into position this morning as Jordan was coming down the stairs. Now knowing what to do, he jumped into the paperwhites that are growing in a pot in our kitchen. I said to Jordan, "I don't know WHAT he is doing this morning." Jordan laughed and said, "I know! He thinks it's a beanstalk like in 'Jack and the Beanstalk.' Or he just wants to look outside." Either way Jordan was still enchanted!

A Thoughtful Craft

Peter Misteltoe painted Jordan's name on his Santa hat!

Batcave

Peter Misteltoe played with Iron Man and Wolverine in the Batcave. When Jordan saw it, he came up with this whole story about how Peter got stuck at the top of the Batcave.

A New Mommy for Peter?

Today we found Peter Mistletoe snuggled up in a Santa hat for a sleeping bag, sleeping on the dog bed with Kahlua! Kahlua looked a little scared, but I did see her snuggling up to him later after I took the picture!

Marshmallow Mess

Peter Mistletoe has been sticking to the kitchen. This is nice because we don't have much time on school days to look for him. Maybe he'll venture into other areas of the house on the weekend. Well, the night before didn't satisfy his sweet tooth. He found another treat. I said, "I wonder how many marshmallows he ate." Jordan replied, "Probably a lot!"

Party Time

Peter seems to have had a wild night trying to mix up some syrup concoctions. Jordan said, "That's hilarious" and "He nearly got himself killed!"

Word Search

Peter Mistletoe had a low-key evening doing holiday word search puzzles. Notice how excited he was that he found "mistletoe."

Gone Fishin'

So this morning Jordan went on his first hunt for his new elf, Peter Misteltoe. He found him quickly in the kitchen, where he was fishing in a bowl of Goldfish.

Jordan thought it was very cute but also added, "Oh yeah, I saw an elf doing this on your Nook." He means when I was looking at Pinterest. This is a cute idea, but it's already been done. I think Peter was tired from the show and long drive last night and stole an idea from another elf. Looks like Peter's going to have to take this to the next level and get original! I hope he's not too tired tonight to think of something original!

Christmas Show

We have all been fighting this cold since last weekend, and yesterday it reappeared for Jordan. He had a fever and sore throat and was dizzy. We put off going to the Christmas museum but had tickets for the Christmas show, so we decided to go.

When we got in the car, the elf was buckled in with a blanket over his lap, sitting in the spare car seat. He also had his book next to him along with a little letter for Jordan.

In the note, the elf introduced himself and told Jordan to read his book and to give him a name. As we drove, Jordan read the book out loud to the elf.

He then gave the elf a name: Peter Mistletoe. He even wrote out a little birth certificate for him. Apparently, he was born on December 1, 2004. That is the same year Jordan was born. But it turns out that yesterday was Peter Mistletoe's eighth birthday! Happy birthday, Peter!

After reading the book, Jordan realized he shouldn't have been touching Peter at all! The book advises that if you touch him, he might lose his magic! Jordan was very worried about it. We took Peter in to see the show, and both Jordan and Peter really enjoyed it, although Peter had to sit on the parents' laps so he didn't lose his magic!
